April 18th       Log cabin quilt (part 1)                                 $60 (part 1 & 2)

9am-1pm       

The log cabin is my all time favorite pattern. You will have so much fun making this quilt. Come join us and learn about color values, chain piecing and different layouts of the blocks. You will make all 12 blocks at the same time.

 

April 25th         Finish your Log Cabin quilt (part 2)

10am-1pm

In this follow up class you will learn how to square up your blocks and you will put the borders on your quilt. You will learn how to put on a binding.

Supply list:

  •          Good working sewing machine with ¼ inch foot
  •          3 pre-wounded bobbins (optional but this saves time in class)
  •          A new sewing machine needle, size 80/20 sharp universal
  •          Thread matching your quilt colors or natural (grey, beige)
  •          Rotary cutter, mat and ruler
  •          Large rotation cutting mat to square your block (optional)
  •          Basic sewing supplies: seam ripper, scissors, pins
  •          Quilt in a day – Eleanor Burns pattern book (optional)

 

Fabric: This traditional quilt pattern exists of 3 light and 3 dark color fabrics to get the diagonal strips or layout of your choice. Chose a solid for your central square. All fabrics must be nice quality quilters cotton/batik.
